You eat it

Notice how clean Clayton's tray is...except for the peas
That would be a strawberry hand-off. Ella normally eats strawberries. That is our go-to food, in fact we keep the strawberries out of the room until the end or everything else hits the floor. Not today. Here is how lunch went for Ella: mac n cheese. Nope. Last nights mashed potatoes. Yuck. Fine, strawberries it is. Umm I guess I could have a few. Nope. Then I discovered it was backwards day so I nuked up some peas. Success! Really? You picked peas out of all of those options. We followed the 'meal' up with crackers. The day she is anti-cracker is the day I throw in the towel.

We decided when we win the lottery the first person we are hiring is a child feeder. They don't even have to cook for Bernie and I, just the kids. Part of the job description will include dishes for everyone though. An hour after the third kitchen clean-up yesterday when I surveyed the latest damage and realized Bernie and I had yet to eat and Mya's night bottles and meds hadn't even entered prep stage I really wanted to sit down and cry. Then I remembered the dishwasher has been on the fritz and I should count myself lucky I didn't have to do a load by hand.

What age do chores start? That will be nice, but isn't that about the age they get picky about what they eat? Oh, wait...
